Heartwood by Amity Gaige. 

Join us in the American Veterans Auditorium as we discuss a literary thriller.  This suspenseful, multi-perspective novel centers on the disappearance of 42-year-old hiker Valerie Gillis on the Appalachian Trail in Maine. As a dedicated warden leads the search, the story explores themes of survival, memory, and profound emotional reconnection, featuring poignant letters and investigative, mixed-media narratives.
