Welcome to a pleasant afternoon at the Library. We'll have good books and good people to discuss our monthly novel.

This month's book is...

North Woods by Daniel Mason.

This historical novel is about a single house in western Massachusetts and the many human and non-human lives it shelters over four centuries. The book uses various forms, like letters, poems, and field notes, to tell fragmented stories that explore themes of nature, history, love, madness, and the interconnectedness of life over time. It is described as a genre-blurring and innovative work that uses the house as a central, living character that witnesses the cycles of life and death, history and nature.

Book copies are limited.
